Catalina Gutierrez
Chief Administrative Officer
Catalina has lived in Kenya for most of her life and has a great passion for wildlife and especially elephants. Catalina is beginning a new chapter in conservation and with a vast experience from working in the tourism industry, she will be bringing valuable skills to the Elephant Aware team.

Field Assistant
Serafina has played a crucial role as a member of the Elephant Aware team since the project started more than 15 years ago. Serafina helps with maintenance and management within the Elephant Aware HQ and also assists in field monitoring of elephants. With years of experience working in conservation, Serafina is an asset to our team at Elephant Aware

Lekeshumba Njapit
Ranger
Lekeshumba Njapit has been a Ranger at Elephant Aware for seven years and during that time he has both gained valuable skills and contributed his own to the team. As the oldest Ranger at Elephant Aware, Lekeshumba is well respected within his own community and is very good at working closely with his fellow Maasai community members in conservation matters. We are glad to have Lekeshumba on our team, working together to secure a future for elephants and other wildlife in this ecosystem.

Konene Letura
Ranger
Konene has been a member of our team since 2008 and over those many years he has gained a number of crucial skills pertaining to wildlife and people but also additional mechanical, GPS and photography skills. Konene has also learned to ride a motorbike during this time and now heads our Rapid Response Unit which quickly responds to any wildlife related incidents in the area. As one of the most experienced rangers on the team, Konene is very helpful in a variety of different aspects and he is an asset to Elephant Aware's conservation mission
